has anyone asked this tree how it feels about being plastered with signs?

Trees have a long history of acting as sign posts and wayfaring marks for travellers, as well as meeting places, so maybe it doesn't mind too much. Hi Meg!

Speaking of meeting places...what about the video showing massive British forces surrounding some ancient oak tree cutters (for a highway, who needs a five hundred year old tree?) and visited by two black horses, circling the tree over and over, avoiding all the helmeted defenders-of-saws, looking like that tree was their friend and companion? (There were, however, no visible signs on the tree, so relevancy is dubious. Run-on sentence, however, is quite good.) Hi David!
