I'm here to celebrate invented spellings, not larff at them. they tend to reveal sophisitcated phonetic insights. This one is interesting as it's mixing the spanish "pintado" and the english "painted". And be careful of synthetic phonics - you'll end up with a Clackmannanshire accent - which isn't a bad thing.

That's interesting! - reminds me of how young people invent shorthands for online chatting: CU for 'see you', GR8 for 'great'...etc. And we even invent spellings for non-alphabetic writing systems! So yes, rather than labelling these as 'bad language', why not say they indeed reveal creativity and a good understanding of the sound system - to cut off irrelevant bits in the language for the ease of communication! :-)
